Shattuck-St. Mary’s Announces National Signing Day for Soccer Student-Athletes

Faribault, MN (January, 2012) –- 18 members of the Shattuck-St. Mary’s (SSM) Soccer Center of Excellence will make their college decision final by signing National Letters of Intent or signing an Institutional Letter of Commitment on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. in the Dane Family Field House at the SSM Sports Complex.

“It is an exciting day for these players, their families, our soccer program and our school,” said Scott Curwin, Director of Athletics at SSM. “These 18 student-athletes represent countless hours of practice, travel, and sacrifice to achieve this moment.”
The Soccer Center of Excellence was launched at Shattuck-St. Mary’s in 2005 and has successfully produced collegiate-level players for the past six years.

Shattuck-St. Mary’s School is an Episcopal, college preparatory boarding and day school enrolling students in grades 6 through 12 plus a post-graduate program. The school, located in Faribault, Minnesota, 50 miles south of the twin cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, occupies a 250-acre campus on the bluffs of the Straight River. The institution’s approximately 415 students typically come from more than 30 states and nearly 30 countries.
