What is the program’s objective?
- Technical Mastery through repetition or “Time on Task”
- To Enhance neuromuscular development (motor control)
- To allow opportunities for player problem-solving in a challenging environment

What does the tuition provide?
- Coaching
- Facility Rental including games

- Training kit includes; Adidas® Shirt, Shorts, & Socks

What sets us apart?
- Our Coaching Staff; which has 10 full-time coaches & one goalkeeper coach who have decades of experience from youth to professional
- Our facilities; which allow us year round training to maintain a platform for player growth. In addition the winter academy teams will play full-sided 11v11 matches

Where and when will training take place?
- Training will take place at Shattuck-St. Mary’s State-of-the-Art Dane Family Field House. Please note, any training session cancelled due to the threat of inclement weather or unsafe driving conditions will not be rescheduled.

What else does the winter academy training offer?
- Demanding training twice per week
- Four (4) matches at SSM guaranteed
- An opportunity for each academy team to participate in an additional tournament (*not included in tuition)

How will we be notified if training is cancelled?
- Please visit the Shattuck–St. Mary’s Sports Center of Excellence website at: http://soccer.s-sm.org. The announcement whether to cancel training due to inclement weather will be made by 4pm the day of training.

Who attends?
- This is for any travel or competitive level players who aspire to become a better soccer player.
|
Will players leave their current team?
- No, players will continue to play for their current youth team. This is purely supplemental training.

What is the program structure?
- A 16-week program beginning near the end of November and finishes near the end of March. Players are placed into age appropriate groups based on ability. The age groups are; U14, U16, & U18.

Is goalkeeper training included?
- Yes, however goalkeeper training will consist of the team aspect of the goalkeeper, not individual technique.

What is the schedule?
- Age groups classified as: U14, U16, & U18
- Depending on numbers additional teams may be created to better serve the players (i.e. U13, U15, U17)
- Teams will train Monday and Thursday night

What is the expectation of each player?
- Players are expected to be on time. Each player must bring a fully inflated soccer ball (age appropriate), water, and must wear shinguards. Players are also expected to come dressed in the appropriate training kit (SSM shirt, shorts, & socks).

What is the cost (tuition) of the program?
- The tuition is $625 per player. At least $300 is due at time of registration. The balance must be paid by 1/15/12. Special circumstances may be made on a case by case basis only.
